Liatris pycnostachya (prairie blazing star) grows easily in dry to medium, average or rocky soil. It is incredibly tolerant of drought, humidity and heat- but dislikes wet soil in winter. This lovely plant attracts butterflies and hummingbirds and makes a beautiful addition to a cut flower bouquet! Great for cutting, native, cottage gardens and naturalized areas.
