Solidago flexicaulis is also known as ‘zigzag goldenrod’ due to its unique stem structure, it really does zigzag! Flowers are small and yellow, clumping mid stem to the end of stems late summer through fall. This is a woodland goldenrod, that prefers dappled shade and spreads via rhizomes and seed. This plant is a lovely addition to a shade or native garden, and attracts bees, birds and butterflies!
