Stokesia laevis 'Peachie's Pick'
Stokesia laevis 'Peachie's Pick'
Stokesia laevis is native to wet pinelands, ditches and savannas along the Coastal Plain of North Carolina and is found South all the way to Florida. An evergreen perennial that grows 1-2” tall and features cornflower like blue violet blooms, Stokesia makes a beautiful front of border plant for cottage or native plant gardens. ‘Peachie’s Pick’ is a lovely nativar with a more compact plant structure, and large, 3” fluffy blooms- it also tends to flop less than other Stokes’ asters and is particularly nice planted in groupings. Peachie refers to Peachie Saxton, who found this plant, not the color of the blooms which are blue violet. Size offered: 4.5”.
